The Winnipeg Free Press has published an op-ed regarding housing policy written by Clark Brownlee and Laura Rempel of the Coalition. Entitled “Ask_them_about_Manitoba’s_Poorly_housed” the commentary highlights housing issues for low income Manitobans and political party responses to community concerns regarding low income housing heard during the provincial election campaign.
Right to Housing and Make Poverty History Manitoba are organizing a rally at the steps of the Legislative Building at noon on Thursday, April 23rd to support expenditures in the upcoming provincial government to reduce poverty levels in Manitoba.
The Right to Housing Coalition along with Make Poverty History Manitoba has submitted two funding requests for the upcoming 2015 provincial budget. The requests are outlined in a background paper and letter written in December to Premier Selinger. Backgrounder Letter to Premier
