Join us for a virtual Action Session on the Manitoba government’s proposed new legislation and rent regulations, which will impact all tenants in Manitoba.

The Right to Housing Coalition is hosting an information & organizing session to explain this new legislation (Bill 13, the Residential Tenancies Amendment Act) and regulations related to rent control, and how the public can participate in shaping these changes to renting in Manitoba. Join us to learn how you can have your say directly to the government to better support fairness, stability, and affordability for the hundreds of thousands of Manitobans who rent.

Join us for this Zoom event on Tuesday, March 31 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.

Discussion points will include:

  • An overview of rent control in Manitoba
  • Explanation of the proposed Bill 13 and changes to rent regulations – and the organizing history behind them.
  • How to provide public input into Bill 13 and rent regulations, including how to participate in the Bill’s Standing Committee, where it will be reviewed in detail by MLAs and open to the public for discussion
