R2H speaks out during civic election
The Right to Housing Coalition wants the lack of affordable housing in Winnipeg to be an important issue in the upcoming civic election. We need the next Mayor and Council of our city to understand that housing is city business and to provide leadership to increase the city’s involvement in affordable housing initiatives.
The Coalition’s position was sent to all mayoral and city councillor candidates. We hope that that this issue will be addressed in the upcoming mayoral forum being held on September 23rd at the North Centennial Community Centre. The Right to Housing Coalition is pleased to be one of the sponsors of this event.
