No Vacancy: Trends in Rental Housing in Canada

Federation of Canadian Municipalities report with data from 27 municipalities and urban regions show household income failing to keep up with home-ownership costs, which have risen three times faster than income since 2005. At the same time, the number of rental units has declined and the cost of renting in these communities has risen by more than 20% since 2000.
