New Report on Expiring Operating Agreements

The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives – Manitoba Office  (CCPA) has released a report “A Terrific Loss:  The Expiring Social Housing Operating Agreements in Manitoba” written by Sarah Cooper, formerly with CCPA and now a doctoral student in Urban Planning and Policy at the University of Illinois-Chicago.  The report outlines the challenges and implications in Manitoba for social housing providers as operating agreements with CMHC expire.  The report was launched on November 21st, 2014 at the West End Commons, Winnipeg –  home of St. Matthews Non Profit Housing Inc. that has just completed construction of 26 homes for families in the upper floors of St. Matthew’s Anglican Church.
