MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD. Support the Right to Housing Coalition in urging the Government of Canada to make non-profit social housing a priority in the 2009 Federal Budget. The budget comes down on January 27, so the time line is very short!
We ask each Coalition supporter to make at least one phone call or send an email to endorse our position, as outlined in the January 13 letter to the Federal Minister of Finance. The letter, along with a Housing Facts sheet, has also been sent to other party leaders and Manitoba’s Finance Minister Greg Selinger.
Here are ways you can help:
1) Share your view with the Finance Minister at email@example.com
2) Contact your MP and express support for the Right to Housing Coalition position. You can forward Clark’s letter by email along with your personal endorsement. MPs are in their ridings during this time when Parliament has been prorogued. You can phone their constituency office and fax a copy of the letter to them. (See phone and fax numbers and email addresses below.)
3) Ask others in your network to do the same.
